Gas-driven emergency ventilators

Millions of people in lower income parts of the world face the threat of coronavirus, but don’t have easy access to electricity to power life-saving ventilators.

That’s where our sister project comes in.

The brainchild of diving technology company, Lungfish, Gas-Driven Emergency Ventilators do exactly what the name suggests.

There’s no need for a power supply.

The ventilator is driven by the oxygen being used to treat the patient.

Like the GlobalVent device, it can be assembled from readily-available components.

The total cost is less than £200 per ventilator.

And it can be flat packed to the size of a large book, ready for shipping where most needed.
